as another player of a rogue. I honestly wouldn't mind if sleight of hand was removed in its entirety. And Jehannum I read about two sentences of your above posts and decided your condescending tone wasn't worth reading the rest, because at the end of the day....It's just a game and I won't get myself worked up over it.

Evrez, I strongly council you to read this thread, digest it, then read it again just to make sure you understand it.

I read this when I first started....so how does this apply to me right now? I've threatened, harassed, insulted noone except for the PP incident and I'm working with Guardsman Jaleem on when he's going to be on so that I may serve my time for that. So again...what's this got to do with anything??? That I told Jehannum his tone was condescending in his own home? So I'm to assume he speaks this way to people in his house all the time then right?

Interesting to say the least, if you aren't brown-nosing then your violating the house rules....sorry bud but I'll speak my mind even to my bosses and they know damn well i'll never lick the dirt off their boots. But they also know I wouldn't disrespect them.

I've been respectful in this thread. If you wanna play spin doctor with me or try and try and setup a strawman out of this be my guest.

Allow me to act as a third-party.

Jeh ain't yer boss, he's the host. This ain't a workplace, this is a party. It's a party in his house (metaphorically speaking), and as such it is required to follow house rules. Now, not 'brown-nosing' isn't breaking house rules. If you accepted an invitation to a party, would you not treat the host with more respect than usual?

Sorry for any discrepancies, I haven't seriously been following this thread. Just my very off-topic two cents. On the topic's note, I could care less if PP was taken out, my rogue has never once used it and probably never will.

Cheers,
~Evelond~

How much more politely do you want it? Read my first answer. Everything you need to know is in that post, in the politest possible manner.
It's just a game...

This comment is rather humorous as I have spent my last two evening investigating a pickpocket griefing/harassment complaint against this person involving:

1. The repetitive stealing of 10-14 items from one person in the space of one hour.
2. The pickpocketing of a fallen body- same person.
3. Forcing a player to be engaged in unwilling forceful roleplay in excess of an hour.

It is quite a stretch indeed to say that Evars has harassed noone.

Thats why my tone with him is as it is, just so the community is aware.

I am not happy with people who fill my time with adsurd investigations of childish behavior. The sad thing is that they dont understand that what they did is harassment.

Im washing my hands of those two and they are no longer welcome on the server.

Sorry to put this on the community, but I thought you should know the "why's and the what's."

On a more positive note, the team is developing a new system tonight that will allow:

1. The dropping of any stolen items upon a characters death by pvp.
2. The items will be in a container that only the thief or the killer can access.
3. Any items not looted from the corpse-container while it is opened the 1st time will be returned to the person who dropped the items automaticly.

We will announce this in the next few days when it is live on the server.

hmm, that is very interesting. I am impressed on two counts; first that it's even possible to do such a thing, and second that you would take the time to address the problem in such a way as this, which is obviously going to take some time. Personally with all the headache that has arisen from this issue, i probably would have just disabled the skill for the rest of the beta, if only to give more time to work on the rest of the server. The fact that you guys are still willing to put the time and effort into finding a solution to this problem that still allows for PP really speaks volumes for your commitment to the community. I know you mostly only get to deal with people's stupidity and complaints, so i just want to take this opportunity to salute the Dasaria team. I say, ROCK ON! :P

The new PP system is wicked

but ?
Is it possible to allow all chars in combat radiuss to apply there PP checks when a PP occrs near them.

Not many chars have the spare skill points to max skils to detect PP etc... hence the value of partys etc... you can rely on friendly rogue nearby etc... if they spot a pp on you, it is as if you spot it... dialogue.

This would alos work for guardsmen NPCs..
