Is there a detailed description of Morell?

I was wondering if I could get detailed information on Morell, the lore would help me flesh out some backround questions.

Famous rogues many would know of?

population?

Guilds and or shops of fame?

The surrounding immediate dangers and monuments?

The current leader(s)?

Excuse me for the questions but I've found it hard to locate significant amount of information. Any help would be much appreciated.

Morell is THE place to be if you're a career mercenary/thief/assassin. The whole place is basically a city for these kinds of people. I can't recall any specific names of interest, but anyone claiming Morell as their place of origin can pretty much be expected to know how to live a very shady life. At least, that's how Morell was 50 years ago in Das1. I pretty much explained it expecting it to be about the same now as it was then.

Governor Ozur is the current representative of Morell for Varana.

Morell wasn't accessible in Das1, however there were several quests in Das1, that if you knew where to look for them, and you were possessing certain sneaky skills, you might be able to access. With that in mind, you can associate any of the following with Morell with any decent amount of certainty: black market dealings, assassinations, the Thieves Guild Leader in Morell 50 years ago had a terrible time keeping a hold of his rapier.. *coughs*, and essentially was a town full of thieves and dark, shady dealings, not a town you would want to be from or in if you were not that sort of person.

I always imagine it to be like Mos Eisley space port in Starwars.

As for hard and fast lore, not a huge amount exists I am afraid.

I suggest speaking to Stormknife, his main character back on Das 1 hailed from Morell, he might give you some ideas too.

Morell is a dark, shady place with narrow alleys where women sell themselves to whomever wishes to spend coins on their fake smiles. Morell is a place where the shadows are plentier then sunlight and where there's always room for another ale. Where the bars are filled with loud laughter each and every night and singing sounds through the windows untill their and sealed shut at closingtime. Where barfights are "just another night at the pub" and where boys and girls grow up to be like their momma and daddy are. Big families, lowkey moral. Big time business for thieves, cutters and assasins. The poor stay poor, the rich stay rich. A dog-eat-dog-world but if you belong to a group; you're part of it and you'll be fine for now.

Baby, Vahene, Stormknife, Wyvern.. Me too, we all can tell you lots about how we used to play our people from Morell.

But I think that if you stick to Mos Eisley, you'll be doing a fine job already.

Correct. But no spaceships. Only Klingons. Klingons come from Morell.

There are no vampires though. They can't stand the smell of the drunken foulmouths. They are -too- classy for hanging around in Morell.

One of the more famous groups to grace Dasaria was the Morell Bounty Hunters Assoc.

I suggest doing a search of the old forum for some ideas.
