Oh I am sure there are plans for 1.07. I just dont expect to see it this side of the expansion release.

I would not shed a tear if all new features from a new expansion were permanently locked, and only released after intense scrutiny, testing and evaluation.

Having experienced both NWN1 Expansion packs, I have no desire to go through that again.

Rest assured, Falcon, I would want nothing more than to just install it, and everything runs smoothly with no issues at all, balance or otherwise.

I'm being a realist however.

I have complete faith in the Wyvern the Realist.

On a side-note, an expansion does mean that NWN2 has been a somewhat success, and that new content is assured. Atari damn well better treat the franchise, and Obsidian well. It's the game that brought them out of the ditch.

I'll settle for a stable game.

I'm not looking forward to relevelling Draco if they throw in new invocations, though. >_<
Draco - "Allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste."
Lorcann - "BACON!"

Wyvern wrote:If what happened after SoU was released for NWN 1, people will be more upset over what new toys in the expansion wont be available in PWs because they are so rediculously unbalancing it wont even be funny. Expect epic levels, feats, spells, and depending on what races, classes and PrCs they choose to add, maybe those also, to be locked on release. Ultimately, expansion packs result in more being taken away more than they provide. They are nothing more than a cash cow for Atari. They certainly aren't releasing it for the benefit of the community.

And PW content/enhancement/bugfixes will get a low priority because it doesn't sell boxes. 1.06 will be the critical patch, as long as it fixes a lot of the PW bugs and simplifies the toolset and PW administration.

I'm with the others who say Obsidian should make a more stable game before trying to spoon-feed us extra crap.

All I want to do is be able to charge on my mount, while casting hellball, then lay down a devastating critical on my opponent, while maybe crashing the server in the process.
I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

I disagree. Mounts would be fun, but if we have to play a "stable simulator" with feeding, grooming and training it would get old quick.

You lose 10 epic levels for such a bad pun.

And your mount has been sent to the glue factory.

LOL No they don't. Despite the NWN OC game being absolutely horrid, the online component was simply the best game on the market! This sequel seems like much the same formula to me.

Anyways, great news about the expansion, glad I just bought the game; I have always found that the character development are hardly specialized or individualized until far after level 20 anyways.
