Two Characters...
So since I have two characters that i RP and post on these forums, should i just put the Character that is responding name in the post subject area? Or should people be able to clarify between my fighter and thief by their actions?

I've always thought the multiple account thing was stupid. If you can't make it clear enough in your posting whether your in character and with what character, all the accounts in the world aren't going to help.
If anything it's admiting that "Hey I kind of suck at this so I'm gonna make it as easy for everyone else as possible to figure out who's saying this, because I fail at doing it on my own."

I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

It all depends on how you look at it.
In Dasaria1, I was pretty amazed to find out that several players used this technique to dis-associate thier player identity from alternative character identities. It helps prevent meta-gaming in the fact that players might not automatically think in OOC terms, saying for example "Oh she won't do that because she also plays so-and-so." So, the surprise I felt once I learned that a talented player, who might have portrayed an amazingly influencial woodsy-ranger type also played an infamous evil wizard, well...thier versatility and ability to preserve anonymity until the time was right shows talent.
Immersion. Intrigue. I'd rather not know all at once who all of a players characters are, and hey, it's just my take on it.
For instance, BB, if you created a whole new account, and presented a personality that was not an ***, I might not know it was you.

While part of me agrees with you, bronc, I also disagree in certain regards. For instance, it allows you more freedom to be comfortable with how you're posting, whether its the avatar you use, the signature at the bottom, or even little things like the location on the account. Some people like having those little extras, not because it makes folks understand who's speaking easier, but because it allows them to customize the play experience for themselves.
Look at Matt, for instance. Nobody here can argue that he can't show who is posting by how he goes about it. Back on the old Das1 boards, his account name was "Holly," but you always knew if it was the Lady Fortunbrass, or Spook, Horrid, or one of his other characters, even when he posted using his Holly account. I never thought when I posted for Falson or Lee Tennick that anyone would be confused with who I was posting as, even though my account name was Peregrinus (as it is now). However, I'm going to give the multiple account route a try, simply because I can put things on the Phelan account that I don't want to do with my general account (like use a portrait of Phelan rather than my classic glowy-red-eyes-in-a-hood).
It comes down to personal preference.
