A guy is walking around a corner. Minuvas clone nr.1 spots him "Heretic!! Pay up or be killed!". The guy pays up.

Same guy walks around the next corner. Minuvas clone nr.2 spots him "Heretic!! Pay up or be killed!". The guy pays up.

Same guy walks around the yet another corner. Minuvas clone nr.3 spots him "Heretic!! Pay up or be killed!". The guy has no more gold and now sits in the gaol waiting for his daily 15 minutes of sunbeam.

Hmmm.. you get the point, see the thread about rogues and road agents :P :D
I'd like to meet my Clones, because whenever I seem to engage a "heretic" or someone breaking the law, I get a whole lot of people "turning" against me ;).

But hey, Minuvas is slightly more Zealous than the Standard Citizen. Welcome to the Empire :).

Ohh.. they are out there :) Maybe not clones, but followers who uphold the
ideals of Minuvas

Keep up the great work (..or die trying)! :D

Well so far the M-man is in the lead. He may have some help soon.

Create a drunk snobby elven wizard that is always telling other people what to do. He'd be quiet only when he has trouble standing in balance. Or when he is thrown to gaol. That would be hilarious.

Or then create a half-orc idiot (i think that they should create a class called "idiot", Hi, i'm a level 13 idiot! :) ) who speaks in riddles. "Me not speak, for onions taste good" or "the sky glows green, when onions are nowhere to be seen" something like that. He would just love onions.

mmm....... onions......

I think this would be super-cool, but almost impossible to pull off. Good luck if you try it!

Shut up or we'll never see a character that speaks in riddles

Sirius, I agree with almost all of your post, especially about characterisation being way more important than class. The only bit I don't agree with is your first line;
sirius wrote:Letting people choose for you seems like a bad idea to me,
I think you would be right on this point too if the only thought that had gone into those characters was the description in the poll. However, I suspect that the motives and dispositions of all the poll characters have been thought through already and that a partial character sketch already exists for each of them.

I occasionally find myself with several ideas for a character and can't decide which to go with next. I am sure there are much more creative people out there than me who have this problem all the time, and indeed some astonishing roleplayers who CAN just run with a character idea and make it work - I have met a few of these in PnP and aspire to be that good myself one day :)

If Zhengyi cant decide which one to play first I think that asking the community which one the community prefers is very public spirited. We should all be trying to play characters that add to the IG experience for others and this seems to be a good way to start.

I vote Monk who speaks in Riddles

I played live action RP once with a guy who played a bard and only ever spoke in rhyming couplets or iambic pentameter (like William Shakespeares writing). That would be a great character to see IG, I dont think I have the skill to play it myself though :(

Riddles! Riddles! Riddles!.. well of course, it would be very difficult to play a character like that. Only a very capable person should undergo such a transformation. A person full of imagination and creativity and a lust for life!.. soo, maybe it is not time for this kind of character to be introduced just yet.. or?

Nobody wants to play a halfling anymore. The gnomes ate them all.
Moreover, I advise that Carthage must be destroyed.

I vote halfling barbarian/frenzied beserker.

Do be sure to set the height/girth sliders to minimum for maximum hilarity.

Cleric 10 / Warpriest 10
Is warpriest really all that good? It seems to me that it isn't worth it to lose out on spells every-other-level whereas 4 levels of fighter lets you pick extra feats and gets you to the same BAB. And how does EK get away with getting spells at every level? Doesn't smell right.

I'm voting for the riddle monk, grasshopper.

From a pure powergaming perspective, the only reasons to go anything but full cleric levels for a melee cleric is to take a warrior level to be able to use tower shields, and possibly if you want more feats (although I am of the opinion that the high level spells are more useful than the 9th+ feat). Anything else merely stunts your spell progression, without adding anything significant in the way of AB (since Divine Favor/Power gives you Fighter-like AB when you need it).
