Aswaith didn't say anything in reply to that. He still held one hand over his nose and mouth and he still was squinting his wet eyes to see at least something. He'd followed her up here without making a sound and had seen her try all doors frantically, desperately trying to find a way out. When she'd tried the last door and sunk against the wall chuckling because of the stupidity of the situation, he shrugged simply. He purposely hid the palm of his hand from her when he reached up to brush the wood holding the knob with his fingertips. Intently he studied the door for a few seconds. Then the wood began to shift away from his fingertips. The doorknob began to fell loose from the wood and eventually, it plunked against the floor sharply. Aswaith looked up at her silently. The look in his eyes had a mixture of "Done!" and "Pain! Still! Help! I'm dying! It's okay, but I'm dying!".
"A wise man once said nothing."

Noa evinced a wide grin, it lessening slightly as she finally took notice of Aswaith covering his nose. She cocked her head and began to speak yet as she was about to ask the elf about such, steps coming from the stairs echoed. She quickly got a hold of the elf's arm and abruptly shoved him into the room. The girl then quickly closed the door, though being careful to not make any loud sounds.

She brought a finger to her lips and uttered a "shh" to Aswaith, leaning then her head on the door and hoping it was just one of the Inn's frequenters simply walking about.

With luck, Gregor hadn't seen them flee as he wiped the ashes from his own face.

The elf held still as she ordered him to do. After being dragged into the room rather harshly, he frowned and sat down on the bed. He didn't seem to be bothered by the fact that it hadn't been cleaned or made. He downed both his hands to have a look at them and frowned surprised. He turned them and frowned even deeper. Then he huffed, felt his nose and looked at his hands again. He arched a brow and looked up at her, miraculously feeling a lot better for some reason. Then he calmly turned his head to the sound of a few pair of footsteps outside approaching.

"...-one out. The rooms gots windows who're locked well, they's ain't gots the key. They's gonna have to get out at some point, best we wait. They'll have what they're deserving, we're gonna solve this the Aucklorn w-..."

and the passing voice died away again. Aswaith's other brow arched up too as he gave Noa a pensive, wondering look. "Now what?" came a wiry whisper from his lips. "They're gonna starve us to death, lest we come out. "
"A wise man once said nothing."

Marius slams his fist against the table, all but ignoring Will his eyes light on the innkeep "You told me that coming here would afford me a quiet meal."
Marius' voice was quiet, but dead serious. His eyes remained locked with those of Gregor.

Noa sighed from the whole tense situation and fell on top of the confy bed, just beside Aswaith. She then grabbed one of the pillows, lazily laying then her head on it and slowly calming down: "You tell me, Aswaith.", she said, in the midst of a yawn, pulling then one of the white sheets and wiping the ashes from her cheeks. Noa then looked to the elf with a silly grin: "Weren't you the one who claimed to be my saviour once?"

He couldn't help slipping a sudden grin after she attempted to whipe clean her cheeks. "You look like you've been to war and back, like a true warrior. Got stripes.. all over your cheeks." He took the tip of the sheet from her and raised it to help her whipe the ashes off. Yet, he stopped for some reason. He looked. And he looked at her a little longer. And then he broke what could have easilly turned into a stupid stare had he allowed himself to dwell on it. With a frown he got up and walked to a small cabinet nearby, which wasn't as inviting as the bed but could easilly do the trick as something to lean against. To discuss plans, perhaps. He avoided looking at her for the second time today, conveniently trying to hide it behind his striding over to the cabinet and his hand feeling his nose and own cheeks then in thought. "I-I don't know." he started at first with a soft, troubled voice. "We're on the topfloor and the windows are closed." He glanced up at the ceiling, bringing his thoughts onto other matters; the matter on how to get out. "I can do a lot of things with wood but I'm not sure it would be a sane idea to make holes in the walls, you see.. "
"A wise man once said nothing."

Will looked at Gregor's face covered in ash, then to Marius in his shining new outfit. "Seems no one on the outside 'kens how to treat their elders anymore. Not to offend, but you surely haven't been in Aucklorn long enough to know it is deadly quiet almost all of the day, and unnaturally ominous with the oncoming darkness during the night. This morning is an exception, unfortunately for you... but I tell you it isn't any better for the innkeeper here. This small village exists under a powerful curse, and its hardened people sit on the edge of being consumed by it each day. As I said, not to offend, but it makes your demand for a quiet meal sound a little outrageous." The pale white half-elf glanced over Marius's uniform again and then at his own simple tunic speckled with ash. His lips pressed together in a grim thin line as he slowly exhaled and shrugged a shoulder. He made his way to the stairs and muttered to himself. "It was time to change and start the day anyway..."

The door to the Willows Eve bursts open, slamming against the wall with a loud BANG, and standing in a pose that suggests he has just kicked it open, is a very dark, extremely ugly gnome. He stands in the doorway for a moment, seeming to relish the attention of everyone in the room, regardless of the fact that it consists almost entirely of glaring eyes and scowling faces. He is clad in tight-fitting blue monk robes, and a red cape that is entirely to big for him nearly drags along the ground as he strides proudly towards the bar. Rain trickles from his brown leather skullcap and runs over his deeply furrowed face. Leaping onto a barstool with a single bound, he strikes the bar-top violently and addresses the innkeeper in a loudly demanding voice.

"Barkeep! two mugs of your finest ale for the finest gnome: The Raj, Lokwar's ritechus fist of justice!"

Marius' eyes find Will and watch him as he make his way to the stairs, holding back a scowl. The man had a right to speak as he did, he obviously was unaware of the money Marius' had put forth not only to get the fish he was eating to the Willow, but also the funds he had given gregor to ensure him a quiet place to eat. Marius knew there was really no help for it but his recent verbal sparring with the Priest, and the talking to he'd had from his Commodore about it had his mood soured. He'd just begun to return to his meal when the gnome bashed in. Sighing Marius took the plate to the bar and placed it there, his meal barely touched. He returned then to his lone table and sat staring at the fire.

Noa too hopped from the bed and walked a few steps, studying the chambers as she spoke and brushed the dust from her attire with her bare hands: "Not like we can flee from the ground floor either..." , she eyed the storm occurring outside beyond the locked window and then the door leading to the corridor: "That man is still there and, well, I wouldn't want to spend a night in this village's gaol, or anywhere else here either again.", she turned around to face Aswaith with a smile: "If possible, anyways!", the girl then approached one of the trunks, bowed down as she put her hands on the wooden side and tried to push it in the room's only visible exit's direction.

"Wait.. what do you mean? If y-.. Are you g-.. You're locking us in from the inside. I can't just tear a hole in that wall? Noa... What are you doing?..." he said worriedly as he cautiously stept in to help her out even before awaiting her answer.

"Just making it harder to get in here if someone decides to suddenly check this room... or if the one paying for it comes back."

As the trunk touched the door, she put both hands on her hip and raised a foot, landing it on the trunk. Noa then looked to Aswaith with the usual smile as she spoke: "Of course, we could simply hide in wait and knock him out with a chair, if you'd like.", she cocked her head slighty, continuing: "Can't guarantee there wouldn't be any serious damage after... we would have an hostage then though. What do you think?"

"D-uh.. I don't know Noa.. I don't generally get drawn into situations like these.. Actually, I find them quite stressful and undesireble. Taking hostages would not be helping our case. I'm thinking something along the lines of; taking responsibility for -your- actions?" he flashes her a taunting grin. "I'm not against waiting a little longer though.. I don't mind the company I'm in and I could think of worse places to be. Whatever will happen, will happen because it's meant to be, I say."

"Oh, fine, fine... let's give up and bore ourselves to death already then.", Noa shrugged, took a few steps and fell flatly on the messy sheets covering the bed. She then stretched one of her arms for the fruit bowl lying on top of the table nearby: "Really, you sound like an old man.", she said, frowning her eyebrow when she noticed the bowl was empty: "Must be due to the old folk back in your coven, I guess... it's pleasant to know you aren't minding my company though, my lord."

Noa then returned that taunting grin from before with a similar one.

The heavy oak doors closed behind the new arrived guest. He made his steps towards the fireplace. He was cold. The night seemed to be colder here then in his region also at the day time the sun seemed to shine somehow different. So was everything here, even people seemed to be somehow different.

The traveler took of the helmet from his head and began to relax near the fireplace. Behind his back, was standing a human, probably the owner of the Inn. When his hands slowly began to feel hot air form the fireplace, he slowly turned around to the human and asked.

Welcome mister. I got one question. How old is the tree that stands in the center of your village? Of course I will pay for your story.

He puted a small bag of crowns on the table and waited for the answer.
