Agreed, I'm level 11 and have nothing to spend my gold on. The items I want no one seems to have, so it's pretty useless to me atm.

Ah yes, I remember when my first char got wealthy.
But you can spend gold in many ways, only imagination is the limit if you use it with role play. I will not reveal it all, but guards CAN be bribe, newbies can hired to do the odd job, and of course you can out a contract if you want to see someone dead. These are the obvious ones. Then there are the guild fees, the fines and charity. I actually never have enough gold even though I have several high level chars. But if you're strictly talking about spending gold to buy items, then yes there will come a time where you have bought every wand to be made.

If I ever see people who make wands I'd buy them, last time I asked about them I got ignored xD also not many druids / clerics with craft wand. As for the more IC reasons for gold, I've no use for them at the moment, since I don't know anyone IC. Still I see no problem with the gold from various areas so far, sure you can get a lot, but other than trying to buy items people never seem to have there's not much to use it for.

Post a WTB message in the Marketplace forum if you're interested in purchasing crafted materials or a specific "rare" item. At level 11, supplies for tower-crawling should be eating into your treasury as well.

I have three crafting characters, including a Cleric who makes both wands and scrolls, and a Druid who makes wands. As it is reasonable to assume word of mouth might have gotten around, their names are Roark and Algor, respectively. You may approach them in-game regarding crafting services if you like.

Just a note that wands can be very expensive in terms of the gp used in their manufacture alone, let alone the cost of the service.

And if you REALLY have no other use for gold, my character Allarick is always accepting donations toward the construction of his orphanage.

Also -- Minor criticism: Is your character also named Akimbo? If not, as as there are NO character names in your signature, it might help for people to find you if you weren't stealthing your in-game identities, hmm?

There are a number of wand crafters in the Order of the Diamond, including Amnon Meshullam. When you see one of these characters IG, try approaching them or sending a tell. Wands can be VERY handy in a number of situations, especially if you intend to solo.

And yes, they can be quite expensive. Ditto for scrolls.

I'm still exploring the world, so my experience is limited, but with regard to the dungeons and the treasure within them..I can only safely say that the only dungeon I've found good to visit was the crypt, and the aqua ducts. The rest, I've tried exploring with little luck, except for realizing quite quickly that i was out-matched and dead. Now that I'm level 8 and with about 4k gold, I haven't really yet been able to say that I'm noticing too many areas which I can hunt in successfully, but then again, I haven't logged in very often, for that reason.

No doubt, level 8 is right about where many good loot dungeons become doable. If you approach any of my chars IG, they would be happy to point you in the right direction.

I think the new area needs some tweaking.

If a rogue can solo it alone, the Pit Fiends definitely need some more powerful spells. Maybe their coding is broken or something, because they weren't tossing any instant-death spells on me, and I think somebody said they were supposed to. Then again, they didn't really last all that long...

Also, their fireballs are comparable to that from the Tower, and I thought it was supposed to be higher level quest...

The loot also seems more comparable to the Tower than one would expect from higher level content - I only found three +4 pieces in all of the loot piles.

I like the traps. Actually, I took more damage from the traps than enemies, to think of it - almost died twice! So, definitely a "bring your own rogue" area - excellent!

Great little story, too!

Overall, I really enjoyed it. Thank you to whomever the builder is. A little bit of tweaking, and it'll be perfect! :D

Wyvern.....you sneaky lil bastard! No wonder that last PWC update was so big!

Overall a good area, and I LOVED the story. There is definitly something exciting about doing a quest for the first time. It's even better than the Tower, story wise IMHO.
I think stealth helped overall....(thank god for HIPS!) One thing....bring ghostbane! I failed to and I was like the knights from MP: Search for the Holy Grail. "Run away! Run away!" ....d*mn Fear!

Anyway, epic traps (whitch don't look like short swords) for sale in Aucklorn (or at least till server reboot).

Deffinitly had fun. It's nice to see more content! Keep it commong! Oh...and Chia's STILL evil....

I've seen some of the areas that are avaialble (kalem, rats, and the....whatever they are in the mountain north of town) but just because they're good spots to hunt, doesn't mean it's advisable or feasible most of the time. I don't find groups too often, so it's hard to hunt anywhere at all. Kalem is virtual suicide, the rats fair little better, and the things in the mountain don't even bear mentioning. Suffice it to say, I want to hunt, but finding the group to do so is sometimes difficult.

And I thought Chia was just kidding. So where is this new content anyway?

If it exists, please don't tell it here.
(Use PM instead and allow new players to find the dungeons on their own)
