I heard what was involved once to become a DM. Needless to say rushing for a frat is nothing compared to what these guys will put you through.
I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

Hurray for Me!

Topic titles are like turn signals. They aren't for your benefit, but for the people around you.

Well I would say step one, learn to ignore anything Broncoblitz posts.

In all seriousness, become a member of the community first. The current DM team was picked by our glorious leader, Jeh, and by the fellow DM team as it grows and changes.

Dasaria is a unique server, in the fact that the players have a capability to cause change faster than a DM does. Doesnt make sense at first, but we encourage players to start and build their own storylines, and the DM team will help where we can, and nudge things along as well. That isnt to say we do not have an agenda, as there are more than a few of us who work behind the scenes currently working on the upcoming storylines and events, as well as those who are actively in the game giving a voice to that random monster or NPC.

Once a player shows the impact and dedication to the game, trust me, players and the Dm team alike do take notice. I wouldnt put too much weight on being a Dm to make the changes and impacts, I found it easier as a player to do what I wanted with a story, than as on the team as a whole.

DMCL speaks the truth.

But if you're still interested, I can tell you the Development Team often hires from within their community (there has never been one DM hire from outside the server), and they often pick up those who have made a significant impact to the server, be it with their content contributions, their playing contributions, etcetera.

It's not a fulltime job. But it does take some passion for what you will be doing and dedication. It's a hobby and like any hobby; you have to have what it takes to make something from it.

Does Jehannum still pay the team with Twizzlers?

What I would like to know is; Does Jeh still pop in and play Das once in a while as a player, he says he is not a good player but is that really true?

He can't be as bad as me; adventuring with a party whilst drunk as a wizard who accidently casts spells on his friends.

Twizzlers are in the mail....

I do play from time to time. Im not a bad player really, but just like any game - when you put the time in you get really good at playing your character. My time is spent on other things than playing, so I dont hit that level of goodness as a player.
