Well, what's that all about then? the traveler murmured into his pint.
The boisterous tavern fell deathly quiet.
Why, only the coming of the most important state festival in the Empire… *pause* foreigner. Holy days rich with religious and military significance!
A rough looking man with powerful hands waded out of the crowd – By the looks of his swordscars and wide broken nose, a former solider or gladiator. We celebrate the victorious legions, living and dead, commemorate the annihilation of our enemies, give thanks to the gods of war and the underworld and the King of Gods.

As the crowd cheered, the traveler quietly abandoned his drink and snuck into the relative safety of the night.
