Event Saturday 11/24 6pm GMT / 1pm EST

Post by Wired »

I know a lot of people have holidays and what not, but I'd like to do a PnP-style event Saturday around 6pm GMT/1pm EST. Let's say levels 8-12? Sign-up here, first five people or so.

Provide the name of your intended character and a one or two sentence description of what you might like others to know about you... I'd like to see a balanced party if possible...

Running will be prohibited unless in combat or traveling between distant areas. RP is expected.

I'm a trap handling rogue friendly and helpfull and generally good to get along with untill someone screws up massively. Then i'll bitch at em.

Nicholas Woodruff can attend.

He's currently level 6 but by that time I can have him level 7, and if I rush through my quests, possibly close to level 8.

He's a paladin of Etoth that is somewhat world-weary but still has a small bit of humour left. Likely to not be overly friendly with drow, but he'll remain professional with all races.

Elvara Stormrunner can probably attend.

Currently at level 11 and not having a monk level or wearing metal, I'd say she's right on the mark!

She's still a bit bewildered about the ways of civilisation, but is beginning to accept that not all peope can or will be like her.
Moreover, I advise that Carthage must be destroyed.

I might be able to be an alternate if nobody else shows.

Ugh, I'd really love to attend with Corporal Argo (11) but I am unsure as to whether I will be home or not.

Bah, I'll be at home at the weekend, so I won't have access to a computer good enough to play NWN2. Oh well, I have work to do anyway...... don't have too much fun without me :P

Vilicus, mysterious blade wielder of the Lord Lochwar, would love the opportunity. His class and origins are a mystery even to me. Hit me PM if you need stats DM wired. (Doh! 10th mixed level/two classes)

Vilicus will probably die without me, so Gwyna would like to be included as well. My level is 10th 8 ranger/2 duelist. Vilicus and his secrets. :P

Allright that's plenty. Interesting group too:

Zephis
Nick
Elvara
Voltaire
Vilicus
Gwyna
Argo (?)

I'll post some additional details as soon as I think of some, but here's the event time in any timezone. Please do join 15 minutes early and be fully kitted out and ready to adventure. I'm thinking we'll begin in Thrall's Gate at 6PM GMT / 1PM US East, but please check back here before the event in case there's a change.

EVENT TIME ANYWHERE

Event will run roughly two hours and will likely be light fun/adventure-oriented, include combat and possibly some discovery. I expect people to remain in-character and RP during the event, but try not to murder each other in the first five minutes -- We'll start and finish this one together.

Please slow down, stick together, don't run (did I mention I like traps?), and use partytalk during the event. If you'd like to request a DM dice roll, please request it on the party channel (unless you're trying to poison your companions or something) and wait for the results. I know some people like to chat with the DM during an event, but with six or seven players, it's too much; I won't be able to maintain individual dialogs.

Damn, I thought it was 6 EST, not GMT.

I won't be home until 5 EST, which is, apparently, 10 GMT. Four hours after the event starts.

Which means I can't attend.

Oh well, have fun anyway folks! Try not to break the law too much. :-)

Desdemona Germanicus-Verkethed knelt in the Temple of Lochwar and wept.

It had been a hard year for the family. First the terrible drought had all but dried up the once-ample income from the family's ancestral fiefdom in the south. To her deep shame, the slaves had had to be sold to Cuhannan whoremongers in order to finance the home's upkeep. A bad year. Thank whatever gods there really were for her husband's sinecure in Cear and her otherwise-awful brother-in-law.

Then Drema had gone and got herself killed. Filleted and parts of her fed to those ghastly creatures on the flats. If but for that ridiculous toe-ring of hers, they never would have been able to identify the body. Mona shook her head, She'd been such a good girl once... How ever had the girl fallen in with such a rough crowd? She'd liked the thrill of it, she supposed, the same thing that'd attracted her mother to marry into the cruel and powerful Verkethed clan.

Now Septimus had gone missing. He'd mustered out of Thrall's Gate with the Talon in last month's mysterious action, never to return. Captain Cato had refused to answer questions about the whereabouts of the missing, citing matters of national security. But Mona knew in her heart he was dead, somewhere up in the North probably.

The drought, the slaves, two dead children. A bad year.

Mona'd never been a religious woman, but the Temple of Lochwar seemed to be a logical place to start looking for answers. They whispered that the artifact, whatever it was, had traveled through here; rested for a time in this very room in fact, and on the eve of the Talon Garrison's return from the North. Here would be the most logical place to begin to look for clues as the her son's final fate.

The trail of the mysterious artifact was likely to attract others as well -- Fortune seekers, spies, religious zealots, scholars arcane and divine; these perhaps could be hired or otherwise persuaded to provide information. She glanced around the room for likely-looking adventurers, smoothing her dress over her hips, then furtively counting the jewels in her purse beneath the pew. And that priest... Whatshisname, he'd said he knew a prayer for divining the whereabouts of lost souls....
