'twas a rogue done bested da rest in the FFA. I'd call that something for a rogue to do.

It was a fantastic server event, best I have participated in yet. really displayed how excellent the new arena can be for this type of tournament. Wish we had it for all the prior battle royales.

There was terrific RP, political intrigue, and of course, the invasion of the Master's minions that dispatched the governor.

Congratulations to the winners. And many many thanks to Kira and Wired and whomever else was involved in organizing.

I missed the play. But after that, there were several rounds of fighter duels. Followed by several rounds of mage duels. Then there was a free for all. After the free for all, the arena was attacked by orcs and undead. The governor was killed during the battle. After the battle, everyone went to the Mistyvale to have drinks and pass out awards. The Governor's death elicited almost no reaction from characters involved, which I thought was pretty bewildering.

I know my character was just glad she got out of that place with all her limbs and life intact. Free rounds of Mistyvale's Brew helped too to forget.

Ehrm sorry if these are poor questions but I need to ask:

Talon, Guards and fleet sprwling out everywhere makes sense but where did the Claw come from and in such a timely maner as well

(they look cool btw) Just trying to understand how this works Rpwize really do they come through a portal too, lay awaiting in some form of barracks within the City walls or have they been disguized as talon all this time

Also with Claw, Talon, and guards all over the Misty and the North Cear gate how unless clones of lvl 20 Luteus's are Drow and EOS supposed to make it out of there

The Claw as I understand them are like the Über Special forces, like Navy Seals and such. It would only be reasonable for them to be present when their leader gets assassinated or killed. I not sure but I could imagine the city Dallas being locked down when JFK got killed?

But yeah, I imagine you're right. I would think, further, that the Claw
probably would stick around for a while, in order to keep the peace.
Since, obviously, Cear doesn't have a Governor anymore... something
has to keep order.

This is Varana!

The military is of course, making a show of force, both to defend against continuing attacks in the area, and to maintain order while a succession plan for the Governor is executed.

Recall that there is a Talon Garrison (somewhere) in Thrall's Gate and that (rumor has it) Imperial Forces are engaged in a military action just a few days North of Cear. There is an near-endless supply of all kinds of Varanite forces ready to march on Cear in the event of civil unrest or murmurs of rebellion.
