Das II Status Summary Post

I only dabbled in Das I and given more time I would have dove in. The draw to me was reading the forums and seeing how level headed and civil that vast majority of Dasaria community conducts themselves. So when I saw your Das 2 launch I did dive right in:). Even with the stability issues of standing up a new server on the new and still buggy NWN2 software, I had a great time interacting with the long standing members of the Dasaria community and exploring the creative work that the admins have put into Das 2.

From what I have experienced in my limited exposure to the Dasaria community, I think they are very willing to help with the Das 2 growing pains and understand that they have a role in helping to identify and resolve issues.

That said, let us know what we can do to help and thank you for the opportunity.

LOL I use that line on my wife all the time, well not that one, but:

-"Honey, this is like the new beginning, you will read the newspaper articles about it!"

But the best present for a wife is... a cruise or a vacation by herself or with her friend. Then she gets all the shopping done and has fun, while we (husbands) stay home and GAME!

Ohhhh you obviously didnt marry a gamer. If he did that and he would get a pan over the head!!! I hate shopping

Nope, tried to get my wife into gaming many times, no go. But she lets me do my thing and I let her do her thing, so we are content with it

I've been reading too, and I think that this may be the bulk of our problems. That won't stop us, though, from cutting the fat and tweaking the server for maximum performance.

Report:

I've managed to log in twice, I like what I see, but each time I've logged in eventually NWN2 crashes when I'm transitioning zones. This does not happen when playing the single player game, so I'm not sure what's up here.

The first time was when I tried to leave the initial inn, later I had wandered over to the trade and commons area, and was returning to North Cear.

Dunno if that's enough information, but I hope that either help ya'll find something, or tell me to change something so I don't have that glitch.

Crashing between transitions is a NWN bug. It seems worse in multiplayer for some reason.

Odd, never had it in the game, and twice in multiplayer...

Hopefully a few patches will fix those problems then.

We found and resolved a hardware problem that was a major part of our instability. It looks like it helped a great deal, so lets hope for continued good fortune.
