I will answer all your questions on this:

He is a Sorc/PM and took firebrand and just remembered he swaped a lvl 3 spell which I thought was allowed because it's a non MOTB or SoZ spell, I didn't realize swapping spells itself was the bug.

We have got to get this bug fixed, it's quite debilitating to spontaneous casters in general, especially arcanists who get better versions of spells at higher level and want to switch from using older version for things more useful. Honestly, what harm would happen if enforce legal characters was turned off on Dasaria? Characters are stored server side, not on our computers, so hacking them shouldn't be a problem. As far as I can tell, enforce legal characters just makes things a pain for players and DMs alike with this long, ongoing, bug.

I also think this bug doesn't happen all the time, 'cause I'm pretty sure I spell swapped on Phelan before without triggering the bug (traded Ghostly Visage for Combust), and never had a problem. Though another time I swapped Mage Armor for True Strike (because I'd picked up Improved Mage Armor) and it invalidated him.

Yeah, I think i switched a spell on my bard once and it was fine. Thank goodness. I'll be sure to refrain though.

LOL, I love that one answer, "Turn of legal characters." Anyway, I sent the dev a note about our most common issues.

character has spell learned twice.

Tanthalas got that message when I tired to log into him earlier.

He got a delevel recently (in which he lost his level 4 spells) and i have since releveled him up to get level 4 spells again. I assume thats where the issue lies.
