It is a good idea to take a look at the histories, and the basic past of Dasaria under Dasaria Campaign Background. The wiki is also a good place to start. WIth my character Hyel I'm in an opposite position of Pere, as Hyel may know most of the lore in history with his very high Lore check, I don't know everything that he does. So the easiest way to get around that situation is to either with A: DM's telling you what it is the lore check won, which happens often enough in DM events, or B: Make it up on the spot. It doesn't really matter in the end if you are wrong, one person can only remember so much, and still learn how to actually do something in a fight.
Sir Hyel Loremaster- Knight of Argentum Vigilo, Archmage of Ordo Magica , Slayer of Zumen the Winged Death, & Head Librarian of the Great Library of Cear- Captain Firin- Korangar "The Wall" - Lucian Rhaz - & Glanin Redleafe.

 See that was a big worry for me. Im willing to reasearch things cause it'll make things easier, but being a student and with my hectic lifestyle i was doubting how much i could RP my new PC's knowledge. Ha, I feel sorry for the dedicated Wizards ou there. I might go back to my ranger days. :P
