Hello all. I was just doing the Deserter Quest again with my Wizard. She defeated Rufus Holt at the docs but there was no journal update so I'm stuck at this point. Just to give you more background, I used a wand of summoning 5 (i think) along with a fireburst spell to take him down. Dont know if that helps.

did you make the kill? Or did an NPC? If an NPC kills him you won't get credit.

Hmm good question. I thought I did but maybe my summoned creature did. But if I summoned the creature wouldnt I still get the update? There were no other NPC's in the battle.

He'll respawn and you can do it again, don't worry.

Well I tried to kill him again however he bested me this time and ran after some other poor fellow. Dont know if he bested him/her but I've been waiting for him to respawn for 10 min now.
