Hat Shop

Post by VarnithisXIII »

Who else wants to see a hat shop or have hats added to a preexisting vendor?

One of the things about my character is he has a Wizard Hat he likes and wears all the time, but of course, there is no hat shop!

I suppose this isn't a dire emergincy, but it seems like a simple flavor thing to add.

In general the selection of clothing/armor is pretty poor. But that's not the DM's fault, it takes a bit before developers can get some clothing sets out that could be incorporated. Really the selection in NWN2 is pretty poor.

I completely agree with you, but by freak chance, the exact hat style Drannok is supposed to wear is the base cloth hat option on the toolset (Wizard Hat).

I suppose it would be difficult to have a real Hatter considering the options are very poor, but at least somehing to start with would be nice. I just feel "incomplete" walking around without his hat, heh.

What we really need are nice hats. Big ones. I love big hats.

I say focatively, "Show me your wares"

I have been actually wanting to get a hood and cloak... but I am sure those will come when they have time to add them. Lots of other things to come first I would think.

Note to DMs: If you want a gold sink make pimp hats cost 15,000 coins.

hey, i'm creating a hat shop right now... if the DM's like it, then maybe we shall have one :)

i will not put any modifiers on them - they can if they wish, so otherwise its purely for RP / appearance purposes.

she is also attempting to enslave higher level imps to create cloaks...

doh... you can't edit hat appearances?!... else im doing something very wrong, far as i can see/read it's only got one basic appearance for each type, I wanted to modify hats to make them truly unique. but we shall make do with what we have. hat > no hat.

Have to agree... hats and cloaks would be cool :)

But.. having used the toolset a bit I feel its worth pointing out that making stuff like cool hats and amour etc is a right pain in the backside.
Wish they could have kept it more like NWN's in that regard...

i am very experienced with the toolset and scripting... although since i stopped 6 months after NWN1 released, im really rusty... but I am appalled at the lack of hat customization... the Wizard's hat looks more like a scribe's than anything...

The power of the NWN2 toolset is absolutely mindblowing... just lacks WAY too much content :( I am a sad panda... Hope obsidian plan on adding a lot of functionality, particularly that in which NWN1 had.

A hat shop would be nice, however, what I would like, especially in the seamstress' shop (which you could add the hats into her inventory, just as an aside here).. I'd like to be able to either see visually what the outfits look like, or have a description of them when you click on them. I blew at least a few hundred gold looking at outfits, and the only way I could do it was to buy them and try them on. Not to mention, more outfits for chicks would be nice. Some of us like to wear pants!

I know precisely what you mean... I have been trying to find a hakpak that simulates World of Warcraft's "Dressing Room" since NWN2 came out.
