Where is Mon?
Just a note to all my friends out there that I have been fighting a cold off and on for almost a month now. (It seems to keep getting passed back and forth with my daughter.) Between the cold and the coaching and other RL stuff I have been exhausted, out of breath, and just plain beat.
I hope in another week or so I will be able to creep back on.
I think I will go to bed now.
Night.

I'ma use this thread to note that my presence is scarce partially due to RL and partially due to Dragon Age.

Re: Where is Mon?
Beware of sinus infections.....be very scared of them. They can hide from the nice antibiotics your doctor gives while planning their master comeback. And so it happened that five days after I finished the antibiotics I started to feel like crud again. But once again, me being the stubborn person arse I can be, I didn't go see the doctor right away so the sinus infection girded itself in a new suit of armour and brought its ally Bronchitis with it.
Let me explain how it feels to have both of these at the same time. One you can not breath though your nose. I am so plugged up that I can hardly swallow due to the vacuum that action places on the inside of your head. Right, you need to close your mouth to swallow so what takes up the place of what you just swallowed? A little puff of air that comes in through your nose.
Next with Bronchitis, your lungs rattle with every breath. In fact the little sacks that hold air inside your lungs fill up with mucus making it feel as if you are drowning. So between the two of these you wonder if its even possible to suck enough air through your mouth to even stay alive. The trick is to try and remain calm because the last thing you want to try and do is panic because that makes you want to breath harder. Its best to just suck it up and live with the fact that you are miserable and can't breath.
Oh, and did I mention that when you can't breath you can't sleep. Well you can try but unless you are awake to swallow water every now and then your lips dry out, followed by your mouth and then your throat. It hurts like help to wake up coughing with the only available air way dried out like the Sahara desert. I have not slept since Monday night. At least I don't remember sleeping. Wait let me ask the unicorn that just walked through my room.
The best part of all this though! My wife hurt her back so she can't move without crawling with pain. It is beyond tough to keep up with a twenty month old child in this condition. My hat is off to every parent that came before me.

Re: Where is Mon?
Good luck Mon, try to see a doctor even if its a bit late. Ginger may be a great herb for you to use, its often used in India for whopping cough so it may be of use for bronchitis, and its also supposed to be good for clearing mucus from the respitory system. Keep healthy, eat lots of citus fruits, the acid helps alot I find just as much as the vitamin C boosts the immune system. Eucalyptus is excellent for nasal congestion, though I have no idea how well it would work for nasal sinus infections.
Good luck Mon, get well soon.
