Re: Tel'gothrim Thoughts (lycanthropes)

Cythis never liked undead, vermin, humans, or Rian elves. But one thing that Cythis had very little experience with was werebeast. However Cear seemed to be as of late a breeding ground for such a thing. Cythis was many months ago afflicted with such a curse, but knew nothing off it and woke up the next day naked on a mountain. However his thoughts changes as recently many of his associates were infected with the curse. He was always scared when traveling with others at night, not knowing if they even knew what they were.

But one thing put Cythis in a fit of rage, associating with the beast. Cythis was walking out of the gates of Cear at night and saw a huge werewolf in the presence of others. This brought odd thoughts to his mind. "Maybe Cear would like me to bring some vampires to the gates and we could congregate and talk of blood and what it would be like to drain Cear citizens." But what fuel his rage even more was the fact that the City of Cear reacted more towards the presence of a dark elf within the city walls then a damn Lycanthrope.

Seeing this huge werewolf he quickly dropped his scythe down thru his hands feeling the surging power as he was arching to sunder it in one full swing, but as his scythe met true to the beast, so did the maw of the creature over Cythis's shoulder and piercing his armor.

Cythis dropped to darkness, only to have awaken up in Tristan with Valduil and Malekyth ready to attack him.

Cythis thought, "Anyone, that is a werebeast, or shelters one will need to find safety within the bars of Goal as a kennel, this needs to end now!"

Re: Tel'gothrim Thoughts (diplomacy of lies)

Cythis passed the great water fountain within the city of Cear. The night sky was dark, but the figure standing in front of him was not unknown. "Vhalduil...." Cythis said, "How are you? It has been some time?"

Vhalduil came close brandishing his highly elven bow. Cythis deeply was thinking if this son of Rian would turn upon him right now. However the thought never came into action.

"Cythis there is much, much, to much to speak of and the empire believes that they know your plans." Vhalduil stated.

Cythis's head lowered, the life seemed to pump out of him for a few breathes. "What do they think they know?" Cythis asked almost lost. "They know everything, but the When." Vhalduil stated. "How do they know Vhalduil?" Cythis now eyeing the Rian Elf. "I had to tell them, they were to suspicious......" Vhalduil remained calm with perfect disposition. "Whom is them?" Cythis inquired now with a harsher tone. "The Loremaster and the fleet." Vhalduil answered.

Cythis stood there in utter disgust, almost loosing himself to rage and thinking of taking it out on this son of Rian.

"Oh, Cythis....Malekyth wants me to bring him back your head." Vhalduil calmly said.

Cythis's fingers tightened across the pole of the scythe getting ready to try and smite his assassin in the throat. Already preplaning how the battle was going to go down in his head. What ever Vhalduil was saying though Cythis seemed to block out, he was enjoying a mental break down of each swing and parry he would play in his dance of death. However it seemed to fade as Vhalduil said that we should both go to the Vissan for some ale.

"Ale, just what I needed...."Cythis thought, "and then I can kill this Rian runt or figure out something less complex then to trust it with plans that were held on such a grand scale."

"Vhalduil, there is a new target, no longer the Empress!" Cythis smirked. "Missinformation is good information." Cythis rasing his head to match Vhalduil's.

"Whom is the target?" Vhalduil asked with eagerness.

"Only the failthful to Tiamet shall know!"

Cythis would not let anyone, especially a Rian elf ruin something so well planned.

Vhalduil accompanied the annoyed Cythis to do the Visen. Opening the door Cythis once again seemed surprised. "White Dragons!"

Malekyth, Kershant, and even Vhalduil were all part of this knight order. Too Cythis, he thought of them as a band of ex mercaneries that wanted to relive their glory days. But he was in no protection within the walls of Sa'rad.

He tried to ignore them. He went to the bar and ordered some ale and took a quick swig and then started bee lining for the door.

As he approached it closer, he heard Malekyth spout off "Cythis!"

Cythis's pride took over and turned into what he was known for best. An arrogant humiliating hearltess soul. "Whom is it that speaks that believes I need to hear from?"

Malekyth was trying to incinuate that Cythis put a hit out on him, however Cythis was in no mood or wanting to deal with the leader of the White Dragons. His White Dragons accompanied him. And Makelyth ordered them to draw there weapons.

"Let's get this over with Cythis, right here right now!" Malekyth insisted.

"I'll save that for the arena Malekyth when I can smear you all over the ground infront of many more fans, this bar doesn't hold enough humiliation of what I will put you thru." Cyths replied.

"Draw your stick Cythis so I can strike you down!" Malekyth commanded.

Cythis at this point glanced over his should at his blade, looking in the reflection he noticed that Malekyth swung up his long sword, but Cythis turned to late and felt the pain of it cut him over his shoulder. Tasting his own blood Cythis fueled Cythis to destroy Malekyth and was totally blind to the other knights of such a dishonorable order.

"You never attack an unarmed human, even for me that is low!" Cythis screamed inside. "Cythis tangelled his scythe up with Malekyth's long sword and gave it one great twist and flung it from his hands. However Malekyth had another quickly to go pulled it out just as easy as the first one came slicing down in Cythis.

Cythis seeing the another opportunity to use Malekyth own shield to pry away Malekyth sword, pressed into the location and flipped the sword right out of air and into hand of Cythis. The battle so far was heavily hurting Cythis as he was not trying to kill Malekty, but passive the beast.

Cythis bolted out of the door and found refuge in the Temple of Culnul. Cythis's wounds were at the help of the priest of Culnul stable, yet he felt an erie sense of them welcoming him to die as well. I will need to find a more suitable form and location of recovery.

Holding the long sword by the hilt, stared into the blade and remember something truly funny. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw an elven druid walk into the bar back at the Visen. He walked up and asked the half orc for some water. "Who walks into the Visen asking for water?"

Re: Tel'gothrim Thoughts (Chickens of Peralia, literally)

Post by Cythis »

Cythis was sitting with Zekzt, Zion, and Ava within the Misty really thinking hard and deep within himself about some of the things he was planning. Much of his goals were already thwarted by a Rian Elf, but this was also the same Rian elf that turned upon his own White Dragon Order. Cythis truly didn't care about the rumors that came out of his mouth. No one would believe him, but they might be put on caution.

Cythis was assigned a task by one of his shady associates about a certain brother within the walls of Peralia. He happily agreed to take on such a task. Simple he thought. Cythis as usual thought of the diplomatic way about gaining information of such a thing. Oddly enough they ran into each other at the Misty. Cythis sat down with the brother and asked him about this magical item as if his life depended upon it.

He declared that he had no idea of anything special that it held within it. Cythis offered to buy it off of him and that was declined. Cythis took that as his own failure within the diplomacy of peace. Other measures would soon need to be employed.

A few days had passed and Cythis ran across Zekzt. A young warlock Illythiiri. He was still burnt by the failure and did not want to go back empty handed too. He saw even more dark elves, amongst many chickens at the gates of Cear.

Cythis got a shiver up his back, as he asked Zekzt to go in back of the Misty and steal some crates. While Zekzt did that, he got a pale of chicken feed.

Zekzt met back with Cythis at the gate and then they both started to put the chickens in the crates.

If the brother of Peralia could'nt remember much about the magical item, then maybe this would help him remember. Cythis and Zekzt both snuck into the holy Temple of Peralia. They placed chicken feed all upon the Altar and then let the chickens in and softly closed the enterance door.

The magic of invisibility wore off back passed the bridges. I hope this is an early warning sign of what could happen if I do not get cooperation from Peralia.

//OOC there are a ton of chickens running around the Altar literally //

Re: Tel'gothrim Thoughts (drinking - again?)

Post by Cythis »

After weeks of trying to remain out from the eyes of the empire and shake some of the treasonous rumors from his name, Cythis still felt a heavy weight upon his shoulders. He was however pleased with his new recruits training and the power that Myth was showing from their goddess. Brought him back to the days when he was young and possibly opting to walk the line of the cloth of the notorious Hydra. He raised his decanter up to his lips and finished the ill tasting pine-needle wine.

"Cytheria!" Cythis screamed. He noticed that with the death of Naril she turned into a weakling. It might have also been to the fact that he kept her locked down in the ruins of Korgov to stay out of trouble. She was definitely growing tired of not roaming as she used too. "Still no answer," Cythis wispered to himself. "Cytheria!!" again screaming for her like a peasant.
"Hhhhmmmph....!" Cythis paused and then thought to himself about if he would have never came looking for his disobedient daughter that tried to murder him. Cythis got up and started feeling the effects of his drink. He finished one hole decanter prior to even sitting down. Seemed that there was something stressing him out. Not even he could place his finger on it. Finding out what the Oracle told him was another concern of his. "Damn you Zion, your thoughts of visions are striking true to me." Cythis paused thinking to himself, and pulled out from his chest another hidden decanter filled to the brim with wine.

"Ahhhhhhhhh.....that's more like it!" Cythis enjoying the burning flavor going down his mouth."You better be right Zion!" Cythis pointing to the wall and talking to no one. "Cause if you are wrong, and he kills one of us....it will be on your head!"
Cythis dropped to the floor. Almost like clock work, Cytheria came walking up the stairs. "Daddy seems to forget how resourceful his daughter is on finding sleeping potions around the house." Cytheria smiled. "Have fun sleeping drunk!"

"I have never fought damn dwarves before. Really, they truly aren't my style Cytheria." Cythis said after a very hard walk up from getting out of the ordinarily drunk the night before. "Damn it Cytheria, what have you brewed in the wine this time. I can barely even handle drinking it anymore?" Cythis mumbled.

"Father just the normal brew....but if you don't like it I can throw it all out?" Cytheria grinned as she knew she finally got her Cythis addicted to something to he couldn't later on kill. "No..no..no...just we can try better next time. Just don't screw it up like that damn dwarf Firestein." Cythis said.

"So you were saying about the fight today, Father?" Cythis smirked.

"Yes, I have ran from dwarfs before, mainly the Redleafe's but I just don't see what use they are besides protecting my ankles or better yet, attacking them. I have fought the vile Rian, humans, undead in many other shapes and degrees, by the hells even slimes. But I wouldn't know if anything can crack their damn skulls." said Cythis.

"Well you better get your move on Father, Cear is still a far run away, even though Tiamet blessing your speed upon the ground." Cytheria said, praying to her knew found dark goddess Tiamat that he dies and never comes home.

"Ahh....you are right, well I'd ask you to wish me luck, but I already know you hate me!" Cythis grinned and looked at her eyes to see the reaction. "Yeap, I knew it." Cytheria couldn't evade the truth no matter how hard she lied against her father. However she chose a strategic move and remained silent.

"Make sure when I come back there is food ready for me Cytheria, oh...one more damn thing wench! Keep the fargin potions out of my wine or next time I will kill you." Cythis marched up the ruin's steps and looked out prior to opening it up. Checking to see how the valley was at this time. "I hope I don't run into any stragglers still left out there. Damn dead things!"

Cythis made it to Cear earlier then he planned. He was greated at the gates by Brother Azzelas, or to many within the Temple of Peralia, Azzelas the Fallen. A striking name for someone that truly earned it. Cythis enjoyed his presence. Yet always felt different with the Black Knights around him.

"We should head to the arena Cythis." Azzelas said.
"Yes...I agree", Cythis said.

Again both of the fighters were early. Cythis found one of the stands to sit on. He had no clue as to whom he would be fighting up against. Nor was he sure about the low folk dwarves. Cythis watched a few matches. The anticipation was starting to boil up. Who would be my first opponent. The answer came as Cythis was up next to fight one of the Stormbeards, Grimulv.

"Ah....a simple fat stubby tubby gnome!" Cythis thought. Cythis did noticing him though angling his shield in an unorthodox way that he was accustomed to fighting against. The way he was holding it was truly different, different for him atleast. He heard many screams from the standing. He ran around the arena to vex his enemies and bring the show to his friends.

In his mind he could not hear anything at this point. He saw his opponents lips moving, but he then spoke in his native tongue, "Ya, yah, yah....just give me your life dwarf!"

The battle started with Cythis charging in and trying his first move into piercing the armor or finding a weak spot where the dwarf was not used to fighting someone with a scythe. Cythis was getting frustrated as he had never seen a warrior fend off all of his prods and test to center on a week point in their defense. The dwarf would not move at all. Accept his sheild was constant meeting the blade of the scythe or bashing it to the side.

Cythis then unloaded his tripping attacks to try get the fat little pig on the ground to roll. "Success!" Cythis lusted. However the Dwarf still held to his shield and blocked the barirrage of attacks. As the Dwarf got to his feet Cythis saw Grimulv arc his axe up to swing and then Cythis took the opportunity to pry it free from his hands. The dwarf's weapon flew. HOwever Cythis not lookign was smashed in the side of his helm with the shield, giving him no such advantage as the dwarf easily regained his weapon.

Cythis thought he would continue this tactic to wear down the dwarf. He was victorious in repeating much of the same tricks, but nothing could even get to the dwarf. Cythis was caught by many blows by the dwarf's axe, however along with that he was being hit with the shield and the gauntlets. Cythis felt like he was fighting a golem, that his weapons were ineffective again. He could not even hit him. Against Cythis caught the force of the dwarf's axe and he knew it was a mortal wound. His blood pumped even faster out of him, and his sight was blackening in and out, again, Cythis pry the impregnable dwarves weapon away, but he knew that he lost. He came too in a pool of his own blood, but healed by the clerics of the dwarves.

He could hear the fools in the stands booing him and laughing at him. Cythis previously fought some of them, especially the mage. But he knew there was something not right. Something about how they hold their shield. Cythis would find this out. Walk back up to the stands many thought Cythis was in shame. But he realized, "This is a sanctioned lesson on how to kill dwarfs better by the empire." While sitting down, a friendly face came to him. "Hello Morf..." Cythis said.

"Cythis, next time you fight one of those dwarfs. Make them come to you!" Morf stated. "As long as they remain stationary, they are almost indestructible."

"I'll try that next time." Cythis replied.

Many fights later, Cythis still watched. Saw many of the other dwarfs placing their shields in this unique way. "Unorthodox, yet it works for their stubbiness!" Cythis smiled. "I have figured out how to best them." One dwarf though came out. He wasn't a Stormbeard, he was a Redleafe. He had previously ran from this dwarf before. "Volak...."

Volak was a unique dwarf, as he used a scythe like Cythis. He did not hold a shield either. "Volak came into the arena, seemed to hold much respect with the Stormbeards, however, Cythis rearly cared whom the Stormbeards respected, he liked watching what the Redleafe was doing.

Volak destroyed his competition with the scythe. Cythis knew right then and there that he had to face off with this one. I shall see whom the better one is. Me or him.

Cythis hoped though that the rest of week would be fine. He ran into a new arrival in Cear, a dark elf named Nad Blanco. A very young fighter lost and lurking around the city. He wanted to give him some advice, however he was to late as the fleet picked him up and put him in Gaol for a trumphed up charge supported by the Etoth preist of the Redleafe clan.

However Cythis took this opportunity as he was passing to goad this dwarf into sending a challenge to Volak. One thing Cythis was a master at, was being a wanton *** towards others that he wanted to get his point across too.

The priest said he would tell his brother Volak to come. Cythis however was ecstatic. Cythis was not liking the time it was taking. He sent other dark elves into the town to look for two dwarves. He recommended to them to check the Misty. They came out and did say that two dwarves where there conversing with one of Cythis's other known allies, Sanosuke.

"Perfect!" Cythis gloated. Not wanting to risk the lives of his dark warriors, there was another dwarf he caught talking to his own dwarven axe. Cythis was amused, this is a perfect example of their race. Cythis came over to the Dwarf and his axe and asked them both if they would do him a big favor and go into the Misty and said to the two dwarves "That Volak is a yellow bellied gnome and Cythis was outside waiting."

Cythis knew that having Sanosuke there, that would be even harder for the dwarfs to avoid accepting his challenge.
Sanosuke came out, somewhat confused, but as always he realized it was Cythis behind the mayhem and knew it wasn't going to be unlawful, just rusty around the ages.

"Well?" Sanosuke half smiling at Cythis. Sanosuke knew Cythis far to great to know what he was planning, however he soon realized he was also part of the plan, with or without his permission.

"Sanosuke, the Redleafes are aware of my challenge, I just knew it would motivate them to come out quicker by doing it my way." Cythis replied as both of them knew Cythis's plan to get them all out there worked.

After the normal unpleasentries that the dwarves and Cythis generally speak of to each other Volak walked out and accepted his challenger.

"Who wants to taste my steel?" Volak questioned!
"I want all of it champion!" Cythis replied.

Again Cythis's ears tuned out the crazy dwarf that was having a discussion with his battle axe and focused on this Volak. He heard for a split second Sanosuke give the word to start the fight, but then he went back into silence dancing with his opponent.

Cythis knew the best way to destroy his opponent was to disarm him quickly. Volak saw Cythis in a previous match with this dwarven cousins trip Grimulv many times. So Cythis faked out that he was going for his legs and almost Volak anticipated such a trip, yet Cythis curves his blade back locking onto Volak's blade and using all his body weight, he leaned back and flung the scythe out of the hands of Volak. The dwarf had no shield to hide behind like the Stormbeards, however Volak bashed Cythis square in the helm protecting his nose from shattering.

Again Volak dove and rolled for this scythe but Cythis caught him. Blood arc out of the calf of his opponent by the force of Volak moving one way and the scythe crashing down piecing him. Cythis pulled away to not as well loose his scythe with the rolling dwarf. Volak got up, merely flustered with this scythe. He then began a flurry of swings arcing high and low, catching Cythis around left arm and piecing his cloak. "Acid!" Cythis grinded his teeth and spewed the words out.

"Damn Dwarf!" Cythis thought.

Again they both took a step back before they start swinging their scythes and parrying to lead to another round of wounds on both sides of the fight. Cythis could tell that the lead that he previously wounded Volak would be the best option to try and trip him and put him on his back. Again the dwarf comign in low try to swing his scythe straight up throw the mid section of Cythis. Cythis blocking the swing with the long handle of the scythe, he then grabbed tightly both hands across his stick and cross checked Volak in his chest, while quickly steping on Volak's foot of his wounded leg.

Volak went down on the ground. Volak extended his scythe though just enough to catch Cythis on the shoulder, not fully piecing the target, but enough to splash more acid from the blade onto his cloak and by his neck. This truly did anger Cythis, but it is enraged him. Volak was on his back now and would be easier to handle. Cythis swung and pieced him heavily in his mid section, pulling back blood....the dark black blood that you know gives a sign of death. Now Cythis could do two things. Either weight for him to die or continue his onslaught. Cythis swung up again to make sure, as he didn't want Volak making some daring move to throw his scythe at him when he was prepared. The final thrust caught him in the chest. Volak Redleafe, was the first Redleafe he had ever killed. Volak's brother rushed over to him as the battle was truly over. Cythis's armor was so filled with swet and blood he knew he was done for the rest of the week. By the gods, please be done. Volak's body surged as his brother's divine power from Etoth filled life back into him with a prayer.

Cythis had respect for this Volak, along with others he had done battle with such as Greywolf and fought along side with as Sanosuke. "Who cares if the Stormbeards hate me, laugh at me, despise me. I think I can make piece with others." Cythis thought.
"Violence solves all battles" he smile as he headed home for Korgov Valley.

Obviously though Cythis always thinks of wounds to him as a "mere flesh wound", despite the urgency of them. I had some great RP/Hack&Slash with the Redleafes :)

Then you definently need a hot pink on Cythis like Bret Hart!

Then again being a Tel' gothrim... A hot black?

By the way, thanks for the Arena thoughts, gave me a good indication of what went down, combined with the event's thread and nice pictures.
