I've made a lot of long posts in the past claiming that I was leaving Dasaria. After almost every one of them, I came back a day or two later.

Unfortunately, that will not be the case this time.

I'd love to say that I'm just tired of the game, that this is just a phase that'll pass, and that I'll come back in no time, but I respect you all enough to be honest. I'm sick of the atmosphere that has developed on this server. We really aren't that big on roleplay, compared to... well, pretty much any active server in NWN1 or NWN2. In fact we're no longer that big on anything. Dasaria just kind of still exists.

It doesn't get much simpler than that. And just so you don't get the wrong idea, I don't really hold any ill feelings toward you all. Many of you are some of the greatest people I have ever known (even those with whom I might have had heated arguments in the past). But it really comes down to the fact that this is just a game, and this game seems to have lost all of what made it great.

I might stop by over the summer, I guess, and you'll still find the wiki at http://dasaria.unlogicality.net (for matters relating to that, I'd appreciate it if you emailed me at daswiki AT unlogicality DOT net , instead of PMing me). But other than that, it depresses me too much to stick around here.

So, I guess this is so long, Dasaria. Your memory shall always hold a place in my heart.

I'm just kidding. I know personally how you feel and it felt similar to me when I first left Dasaria 1. It felt the same when I left WoW and came back here.

I say don't worry too much. I'm sure no one will hold anything against you and, like you said, it's just a game; not much point in playing a game you're not having any fun playing!

i think its very2 different now the game.the server is more balanced and the Rp is more fascinating. items are harder to find, and dungeons are harder to do.. and long term planning had to be done in order to go through things happening in Das. its somehow becoming a peak later where all interactions between players are more than before.

and the good part is that no one was left out..everyone and every player was given a chance to interact and mingle with each other..i find it very good if you stay and see the highest peak where every faction and player can have good RP and good storyline..it will help in the build of more Das. expanding to Lendose and more opened place and quests and more faction to do RP.

but nontheless.. if you dont find any more fun in here..it doesnt matter how expanded it is..it will still wont be fun..

come back sometimes if you are free..there are more new adventures and RP to do.. like the movies always says. "something big is going to come"..

we really love old players to make things good in the game.. take care Eve..

Whilst I'll agree the random RP factor is not even in the same zip code near what it used to be but I reakon your just login in at the wrong times Eve missing out because there's a whole bunch of interesting Rp going on, perhaps you should have got involved more with a Faction or something.

Yes I know, I hear/read it at least once a week how awesome Das 1 was and how Das 2 will never be as good but if all you Das 1 Vets stopped expecting Das 2 to be the same as Das 1 and accepted it's in the past you might enjoy Das 2 more, I doubt you'll find another Das 1 as even if Das 1 was still running it wouldn't be the same because you already did it all. (Yes I am aware of the group that are designing/trying to build a Das 1 esq game and though it sounds cool and it will probably be fun it also won't be Das 1)

Your point about it just being a game, whilst true as a fact Das 2 isn't just a regular game because of it's opennes as to what we the players can make happen in it.

I think all you need is another break from Das 2 and then return when summer kicks in and more players as well as hopefully DM's are about (Not you Wired I know your never far away from Das) Enjoy your break and I'll see you in about a month. When you retunr perhaps you should use your Rping skills to grab a bunch of newbies that come along with an interest in Rping and get them to play Das 2 the way you'd like to see it.

I can understand Lond. However, instead of saying I am going to LEAVE the server, I tend to be more realistic with myself and set the expectation that I will take maybe a few month breaks to it.

There are a few people I tend to not get along with, however I have fun with the others. But what is odd, surprisingly there aren't many dark elves starting back up.
