I would not shed a tear if all new features from a new expansion were permanently locked, and only released after intense scrutiny, testing and evaluation.
Having experienced both NWN1 Expansion packs, I have no desire to go through that again.

I have complete faith in the Wyvern the Realist.
On a side-note, an expansion does mean that NWN2 has been a somewhat success, and that new content is assured. Atari damn well better treat the franchise, and Obsidian well. It's the game that brought them out of the ditch.

Expect epic levels, feats, spells, and depending on what races, classes and PrCs they choose to add, maybe those also, to be locked on release. Ultimately, expansion packs result in more being taken away more than they provide. They are nothing more than a cash cow for Atari. They certainly aren't releasing it for the benefit of the community.
And PW content/enhancement/bugfixes will get a low priority because it doesn't sell boxes. 1.06 will be the critical patch, as long as it fixes a lot of the PW bugs and simplifies the toolset and PW administration.

All I want to do is be able to charge on my mount, while casting hellball, then lay down a devastating critical on my opponent, while maybe crashing the server in the process.
I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

LOL No they don't. Despite the NWN OC game being absolutely horrid, the online component was simply the best game on the market! This sequel seems like much the same formula to me.Rob wrote:They really need to finish the original game before they start on an expansion.
Anyways, great news about the expansion, glad I just bought the game; I have always found that the character development are hardly specialized or individualized until far after level 20 anyways.
