some example... also i dont say only you... when i say my opinnion i rely to ALL previous posts in the thread... Please check what people sait - Trickster is hard... but how can be hard trickster with umd, camouflage wand, tieflling hide affinity, hight dex, and hips can be hard to play? esp when you get all those protective buffs?
I know two people that play Tricksters on Das, and getting HiPS at level 8 means you have level 5,6,7 before that to not die enough to get to 8. Before then, you are aiming for trickster, so you need 5 wizard, 3 rogue. So You can only start AT at level 10, in which you have level 3 wizard spells, 2d6 sneak attack, and HiPS. You have low life, too few spells, and low AC and low AB. I can imagine why its hard. They basically trade HiPS and a bit of sneak attack for level 4 and 5 level spells. So a level 10 AT build doesn't even have stoneskin, can't blast well either, and only really has HiPS. I'll stick to pure wizards myself ;)

Oh and as a tief, wait yet another level.
This is not aimed to be mega power build.. just role experiement.. and it is still sorcerror.
Still spell is feature that is most viable with sorcerer (because wiz synergies with dex based classes), and Sorcerer synergies with Divine Shield/Might classes. 19 Sor 1 Cle is Sor.
I'll have to disagree, 19 Sorc, 1 Cleric yes is primarily a Sorc, but is kind of like... A sorc's weird cousin. Just because something synergises well, doesn't mean that it still makes you the original. Even a 10sorc, 10 ASoC(Something that truly synergises), isn't truly a Sorc, just a Sorc's bigger better brother.

He lie that he is paladin... But if CN deity had paladins he was such one... Heavy armored lucky bastard with arcane tricks and devastating explosions to anihilate enemies.. :)

Hmm? Since when do Arcane Tricksters get HIPS? I know I played one a while ago and he didn't get it. He had the poor man's version though (darkness+mundane hide).

As for easy-to-level builds ... my dwarven bard Lucius Silverbeard (an archer) was ridiculously easy to level. It was ok on early levels, but once he got manyshot/rapid shot along with longer-lasting bard-buffs he really started rocking. I have to admit though that part of the ease of leveling surely came from the fact that there were always some dwarves around to play his personal meatshields.

In essence: Any dwarf the goes by the name of Stormbeard (or relates to them) is easy to level on Das.

Proof right there the Dancing Meanies keep all the awesome items/weapons for themselves  come on dude share them out, would definetly make those of us longtimers with lvl 20's log them in to check what they can become and make some others return.

Shush dude: First rule of the Stormbeards is you don't talk about the Stormbeards  Mind you had it easy though since Lucy is Lorv and Dolts brother.

You can do an AT with HIPS, but you just need to take a level of Shadowdancer. It knocks your level of wizard spells that are castable to only level 8 spells - but really, by that point, you don't need level 9 spells. Level 8's are just as deadly.

Ahh, a dip of shadowdancer. Well ... I don't do one-level-dips anymore

The Arcane trickster I played was even a sorcerer *gasp* ( he was max-minned if that is the opposite of min-maxed). He sucked at almost anything but was great fun to play. The good thing about this: If you can't solo anything (not even the monsters that are several levels below you) You -will- RP more, as that is your only way to get xp

In the end it's all a matter of taste I guess.

Sorc and AT is bad bad synergy and bad choice.. since Rogue is skilled class, and most used Attributes is int and dex... Same with wizards, you better be dex based, because u are not sorcerer and get less spells per day, and cant cast metamagic spontanely.. so cant be anything armored (like cle/sor or pal/sor using cha-based divine feats and str build )

So if you want AT - wizard is only choice.. same with all dex/int based spellcaster mixes (like Dls/SB/Wiz)
If you go with sorc - make it pure or PM (good mix as well) or EK, or finally Pal/Cle + Sor + 4 RDD

Um, if you're going to be an Arcane Trickster, the entire point is that you're part 'rogue' and part 'caster'. So, you don't have a choice but to be Dexterity based. That's the 'rogue' part. And you might get less spells per day as a 'wizard' AT build than you do as a 'sorcerer' AT build - but you make up for it in the fact that you get MORE spells to choose from. In a fight between Phelan [sorcerer] and Hyel [wizard] and Georg [AT], I can easily see Georg having the advantage over both of them, just based on his HIPS/Shadowdancer rank. Between Hyel and Phelan - Phelan might have more spells, but if Hyel is crazy careful, there's no reason he should lose.

[and Hyel's scary anyway, so...]

just wanna say my experience with Slvynn sorceror... she hits 110 crits when i give her weapon of impact..
then she goes in front with 59 AC without me giving shield of faith...and also that 50% damage concealment and AC makes her stay with 20hp for 5 minutes without dying and can heal herself at will while others heal her also...there are few cons though the Pro's are kinda amazing...i like to go kill out the casters while she stays in the centre of melee mobs..nothing can go wrong with the build but sometimes needs to pause a bit for de buffing makeup...put some lipstick..and the lady is ready to blow some crits again...and sometimes when she is busy cleaning some dirt on her pretty dress, she just pull some greater magic missile to deal with the enemy....
