Duplicate Item bug?

To whom it may concern...

I picked up a very nice (for me) +1 sword the other day; woo-hoo! A few days and a lot of looting later, I went to sell some stuff to Ealden the Smith, and noticed that I had picked up another +1 sword. So I sold one off.

Anyway the game crashed a few minutes later and I logged back in, and noticed that I didn't have my sword! And Ealden appeared to have 2 in his inventory! I know I didn't sell both swords to Ealden, so I can only guess that there was some sort of duplicate item bug that occurred. A nice player actually bought the sword back for me (since I didn't have quite enough gold to afford it myself), but I just wanted to let the DMs know about this if they don't already. I'm not sure what triggered the bug to show two swords in my inventory.

it doesnt actually duplicate your weapon, it just leaves an image in your inventory. Happens to me too sometimes. I think it has to do with using hotkeys to equip and unequip your weapons.

It's a game bug and can be very annoying.
