EDIT: I edited most of my screenies out, as they were becoming outdated (made a lot of major changes, didn't bother replacing screenies), and my file hosting account is so disorganized. If requested, I'll post them back up, but enough people saw them to get an idea of where I was going with it
Any recommended areas?

Sailors will need grog and prostitutes (DC 17 fortitude save vs disease). There needs to be low-lifes, like NPC pickpockets. You'll need a cooperage and a temple of Rhauth.
I think smaller interiors are better than larger interiors. Large interiors are hugely disproportionate to their exterior size. It breaks the believability for me.
I was inside the two tales theater today and was reminded of something I miss from Dasaria 1. In Dasaria 1, the theater had a special effects booth that could be used to apply special effects to the stage and the actors. It made for entertaining shows. Something like that would be nice to have again.

I suspect the aristocracy would enjoy the entertainment an arena/tournement field would provide. Especially one with a nice instant rezzer.
Oh, and Cear needs a much, much larger graveyard. Preferably at a crossroads, so the vengeful dead will be confused as to the way back to town.
A primeval forest.
A secluded beach.
A quicksand-filled swamp.
Be sure to make the exteriors as large as possible, so when some community member fixes the crashing problem, Obsidian will look even more incompotent.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
I've actually started on an Iaosian grove for the Cear-region coven, and depending on how it turns out, and how the druid community react to it, I may submit it.
I'll put up some screenshots at some point, so people can make recommendations etc.
Thanks.
EDIT: Oh, and just so people know, the dock areas that I've done so far are The Lazy Dragon (a bordello/tavern) and the Ciranii Trading Company headquarters, which is owned and run by a pirate captain guy.

A druid's grove and an alchemy shop for my druid, a library for my more magic oriented characters, and ofcourse, a dirty brothel (the fort. save against disease was a brilliant idea, include that will ya
) for my chaotic evil bard
. Then any new dungeons would be nice too, if they aren't too large, and if they encourage multiple approaches other than violence. Then we need a tavern full of drunk people, that throw around stupid random comments and such. Perhaps vomiting every now and then. Perhaps some occasional tavern brawls aswell.
Insanity has been kind to me, but no longer.

A thought just occurred to me:
An arena-style area wouldn't be a bad addition, but it's hardly a priority. Pretty much every PW I can remember on NWN1 had one for people to go to and test various spells/feats/combat maneuvers. I don't know how the Empire would view that kind of thing, but it's worth considering.

actually what they had on my old NWN PW was a training area.papaya taco wrote:A thought just occurred to me:

Basically you'd buff up and then bash the crap out of dummy until it ran out of damage. The amount of damage the target could take was dependent on the level of the character. You would also get something like 10xp per level for completing the training, but although you could use the dummy as many times as you liked, you could only get xp once until the server re-booted.
It was really cool because you would try out different combinations, and see how many rounds you would take to destroy the target. You could also compete against people. It was great fun, and one of the spin-offs was that people would see and meet other people, and many great adventures started from there

It ended up being five areas on my old server. One was a public one for low levels, and the rest were hidden away. The Epic one was in some Arch Demon's / Boss private chambers...right next to the spa bath!Grayle wrote:Dasaria1 had two such areas.
Fun stuff. Can't wait to they implement it in Das2

When working on the docks, I'd like to see some areas dedicated to the Imperial Navy.
Perhaps acting as Counter-Quests to the Kalem, or other nefarious Dock figures.
Considering Caer is the "Jewel" of Dasaria , and up for consideration of the Provincial Capital - I don't think we should be over-emphasizing the slum-aspect of the Docks.
Don't get me wrong..its a dock, and its got sailors. But its not the Caer ruled by Dasaria, its ruled by the beautifully cultured yet Iron-Fisted Empire now
