A quick note to the concerned players

Just a personal note from an old player, DM and admin that I think all should hear. Don't take this as official word from the staff, it's just coming from myself.

As slow as things move, and as misguided as things seem to be from time to time, I for one will be helping keep this leaky vessel from sinking beneath the waves. Others are working hard to do the same. Excuses are easy, but I am going to stop making them. We have a lot of work to do, and I hope some of you are still interested enough to see this campaign through. It might take a while, and I know and appreciate that you will all have other interests (be it games or otherwise). I know I do. But I will try to balance the highs and lows of working with NWN 2 to keep the project running, even through the rough spots. I know we haven't been responsive, and I know that things are stagnating somewhat. I promise that no one knows that more than me. I monitor the IRC channel and the forums every day and even when I am not saying much, I am there, watching.

I hear the praises, and the criticisms. I take it all onboard and sometimes I blow up at it, sometimes I just have a "SCREW YOU" attitude. I do blow hot and cold as far as wanting to keep going. I usually get over it quickly though. So while sometimes I feel like I am trying to bail out water with a bucket with a hole in it, you know what? At least we have a boat, and we have the means to keep it afloat.

I look at other projects that have folded, that haven't even opened their doors to players, and others that are doing very well. I'm proud of the fact that we have been up (mostly) 24-7, since about a week of the game launching. Not many have accomplished that, dispite their claims, comments, flamings, and comparisons. Call us a shitty server. Say we have bad attitudes. Say there are better servers out there. We are out there, and we have a solid bunch of players who enjoy things for what they are, warts and all. If you don't like us for who we are and what we do, hit the road! I know a lot of people dont like the way things are done around here. That is fine, there's the door, I hope you find what you are looking for somewhere out there. Those that have embraced this community, you are all welcome to stay for as long as you want, each and every one of you. Sometimes we may be quiet hosts, but we will try to be as gracious as we can.

I just wanted to get this out there. Each and every player that passes through is a blessing to Dasaria, and every one is welcome as long as they extend us all the courtesy we will try to extend to them. Try to remember that each and every one of you was a new player once. Treat others, as you would have like to be treated when you first arrived at our door.

Sometimes people forget that it's a person complete with feelings and commitments on their time etc etc behind the keyboard on the other side of things. I greatly appreciate all the work you and the others have done here on Das II

You and the other hard working people who make this place happen are what keep me coming back here Wyv. I feel like I'm treated as royalty here, and it's really more than a player can ever ask for. Thank you.

To all the staff: Just do your best. Dasaria is really the last game standing for me. It's been in my life for around 5 years now, so I ain't goin' nowhere. I'm staying right here.

I am new to Dasaria and I chose this server for reasons that have never changed:

A detailed beautiful world that effort and creativity was put into.

&

A unique story that has nothing to do with shitty FR

I have found maybe one other PW with these two things but still I will choose Dasaria because of the dominance of RP players here.

Ever since day one here I could sense quality, keep it up for it has never been unappreciated.

I am here for good. I may take breaks once in awhile for personal reasons to keep things fresh but I love this server. The DM's and builders are working hard and doing wonderful work. I have had a blast since my return in April. You have my full support, keep up the awesome work!

Hope you won't get too depressed because of this; remember that you're doing this for fun and a mistake or two, or an update coming too late, isn't such a big deal. I'm not paying for this anyway, so i won't except to be treated like I was paying. We don't have any producer customer relationship so you really are not responsible for our entertainment in any way.

And don't forget that we're human beings too, and therefore we're completely capable to understand.

It shouldn't take a genius to work out I am here for good as I only play on this PW, but yes I agree you do need to throw increase the entertainment value.

Hip Hip Horray! The staff do good, bad and the usual, but alteast they DO. Anyways I post here, play here, because I want to. So thanks to all the staff for what they do..

I don't think people who do not care for the server, the people associated with it, or what it stands for would stick around for long...

So, more often than not all the complaints going your way are more of a tough version of "Hey, thanks"

I'd be playing on and off if my NWN2 didn't give me an "Error loading disc" message every time I try to install it.
