Planned server downtime

The server will be experiencing planned downtime between 13:00 and 14:00 GMT tomorrow for testing purposes.

The server will be brought offline at about 1PM GMT tomorrow to be upgraded to patch 1.23.

Heh... must wait tills tomorrow to get back in Das when i all ready updatet my game! :-(

The patching is happening in 30 minutes according to the post, not tomorrow. Check the posting date ;)

It always creates confusion when the spesific date is not mentioned, as for Reno for example, the posting date is today the 16th. :)

Because he posted it at 9:30 EST, thats already 1:30 GMT, the next day for anyone across the ocean. As far as EST goes, the server will be updated at 9EST, or in 30 minutes from now.

What time is the update of the server supposed to finish?
I'm sure it was said somewhere, but I don't see it.
I'm looking forewords to actually getting to join in. Found out about the server from a member who was on another random server due to the upcomming downtime, so the only thing I've been able to do so far is post on the forum.

Hmm - i just saw this on another forum - might be something you want to look at (not sure it's an issue - I'm not a builder)
Apparently the patch doesn't have some of the correct 2da files in it - seems like there will be a hotfix soon. (according to Kaedrin http://ldoamb.proboards.com/index.cgi?b ... hread=1216)

I'm not seeing anything about this in the NWN2 forums, are you sure that's not an issue with that particular mod (Lost dungeons of adventure)?

Regardless, even if a 2da has gone awonk, it's a very simple fix on the server-side of things. With the autodownloader it shouldn't be a problem to supply players with a fixed 2da until this is resolved.

no idea - i saw it on another persistent world that was discussing the patch & posted the link.

And yes - i couldn't find anything about it on the official forums, so i've no idea.

That being said, NWN2 has a history of buggy patches so it wouldn't surprise me...

They added a new column to feats.2da (instant) which was in the beta patch but didn't make the final patch. This omission is only going to affect modules that have made changes in anticipation of this new field.

Expect the server to be unstable (crashing several times a day) until xp_bugfix for 1.23 is released.

The autodownloader whatchamajig - do we need to do anything special to get that stuff, or when we click connect will it do it for us? I'm not sure if this is going to be something under the 'update' function or what?

Everything is automated now. Just connect to the server and it'll give you all required files, including haks. :-)
