I seem to remember reading when NWN2 came out the engine was not powerful enough and could only hold so many zones, and that you could have a lot more indoor areas then outdoor ones. Is this still the case or was it and/or still is a limit on the power of the server? I think one of my most favorite parts with any game (especially in NWN1 PW's) was just wandering into the woods and spend a good hour exploring the caves and forests. Just seems to me that the journey was the fun part not necessarily the destination. Kind of like the idea of 'filler' to make the world seem larger and more expansive, then having each town 1 or two transitions away for each other.
So I guess my question is, has this changed or is there no way to incorporate 'filler' into Dasaria II?

I'm pretty sure some filler is being worked on as we speak.

I can agree with Rand here, I always enjoyed the largeness of the world in Das 1, I do miss that here in Das 2. I know they are working on many things at this point, large areas that don't have much else to offer other then immersion depth and time allowance between areas of importance would be a great inclusion.
I spent a lot of time in Das 1 wondering.

Re: Question about the Toolset
While more expansion would certainly be nice, it has to be remembered that NWN2 servers are far more tasking on a machine than NWN1 servers--the game is much, much bigger. Setting aside strain on the machine entirely, for a good grasp of just how much bigger NWN2 is, figure this: while a large NWN1 module might amount to anywhere between 20MB and 100MB in size, a single empty 12x12 tile exterior area in NWN2 is 10MB.
Of course, that's not why filler areas can't be numerous, I imagine; more likely it's something to do with RAM.
