Sounds really good to me, and I don't see that sneakattack bonus as a problem.

If this is going to be a poll, I'll vote for 'yes'.
Altho I gotta admit that I read only ~50% of the changes.

I got told that this server does not use .haks or other custom content as creators does not want the community to be forced to download plenty of stuff. Honorable goal, but unfortunately (due, oh the beloved OE) it doesn't work.

So now we are already forced to download a .pwc, as all the walkmeshes ...

My wild guess is that those are done via haks.
But as everyone else, I hope Obsidian comes with a solution which shouldn't need haks.

There are certain techniques like 'the eclipse' that can be used to defend against two or even three attackers, but I definitely wouldn't do it on purpose. Even in the eclipse, your best bet is still to try and disable the biggest guy as quickly as possible.

Straight up, Maeve. I agree. UMD wasn't made by the Das2 builders, it's part of DnD. Balance is very hard to achieve. Tinker with magic, and it might introduce another unbalancing aspect of the game.

Let's focus on what really needs to get done, which is to build out the world further and continue ...

I took 2 points of UMD for my cleric.
That 2 point allowed me to use all the wands I've tested this far (shield, MA, Flame weapon). I have CHA of 10, so no bonuses from there.

So, please don't take this post as a whine but more like a criticism.

If you only want to dualboot, try ubuntu instead. It's pretty easy to use. And easy to configure (unless you have Radeon's GPU)

As I see it, there is only 1 reason to upgrade for vista: New DX10 games.
So to get the benefit from that you need videocard that supports it (NVidia's 8XXX Or ATI 29XX ...

It's proven already that TSH was wrong in this case (GV has worked in exactly same way since 0.99 (which was the point when I got the game) ) , and UMD / wand discussion had been explained by the staff already.
