Or dirge, or sphere of invisibility, or magic circle against alignment.

Dirge was the one that really killed me because it ws unusable with lag and it was one of the few good lvl 6 bard spells.

But they can't use silent and still spell at the same time. (unless something has changed)

Either they are over coming the silence, or overcoming being knocked on their behinds but not both.

Yeah, I didn't realize the usefulness of still spell either.

Nice title btw, Tin.

Well don't quote me on that being how it will actually work. But we'll find out in a week

Actually, I remember such a debate about casting while prone being had already. I don't think it was resolved either, but as you said, we'll find out when someone cares to test it in game.

All in favor of removing a clerics ability to cast spell mantles?

*raises hand*

Why Obsidian? I just don't get it.

Because the only way to make one spell-caster less powerful is to increase the power of a different spell-caster.

All hail the logic of Obsidian! :D

Now that haste works properly mages should be in much better check. Plus no timestop rules.Crappy clerics :P

Haste worked properly in NWN, it worked exactly like it did in 3.0 DnD rules.

NWN2 just runs on the 3.5 ruleset, which nerfed Haste.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't supposed to speed up casting times. I could be wrong as I'm out of practice at this point, but I don't think I am.

Quicken Spell was supposed to do that, but it was superfluous because of haste.

3.0 haste gave the recipient an extra partial action. That translates to being able to cast an extra spell.

3.5 altered that to give someone using the full attack option, that is doing nothing but attacking in a round, an extra attack.

I think it gave an extra standard action, Matt, but I'd have to find somewhere with the old 3.0 rules as I only own the 3.5 rulebooks.

Also, quicken spell is technically useless to a Sorcerer, as it should take them a full round to spontaneous metamagic spells, thereby making quicken worthless to them. So the extra spell from haste was always useful to sorcerers... though I don't think NWN enforced that rule for quicken... I wonder if NWN2 will.
