I disagree with what the people said (but that's not a first). I think the pieces you posted previously were much better. Not sure if you spent more time on those, but you seem to have proportion issues with both of these (especially the first one of the woman sitting above the water. Not particularly keen on the Stephen Hawking like pose either, which is why you also have a slight perspective issue.
The lighting in your first of the two new pieces isn't consistent either (unlike the previous works you showed), you seem to have the main lightsource somewhere in the North West, but there's light coming from the East in some places. Or at least it looks that way, which could be from the prespective issue I mentioned earlier.
The portrait suffers from the same proportion issues as the first one, although they eyes are spaced well, they seem to be too close together, and that's because the face is a bit too wide. The nose bridge is a bit too pronounced and probably the one thing that takes away from the realism of the piece - I know she's meant to be an elf, but they were supposed to be beautiful, not disfigured.
Her eyes don't seem to point in the same direction as well; she's looking to her right and up, but if you look closely it appears like she's a bit crosseyed.
Keep drawing, practice makes perfect. : )

That's what eyes look like when they look up to something close, hanging somewhat above them. I don't think that's an error, to be honest. The closer the target, the more crosseyed eyes may seem.Depheant wrote: Her eyes don't seem to point in the same direction as well; she's looking to her right and up, but if you look closely it appears like she's a bit crosseyed.

I think it's actually because the eyes aren't identical. ^^; I'll be correcting these or maybe even draw again a new set of drawings featuring Pylia. And maybe, just maybe I'll colour them. It'll be a glorious battle against photoshop.
Thanks for pointing out the errors, it'll help to not repeat them a second time. And thanks for all the compliments too, everyone.
I will, Deph.Depheant wrote:Keep drawing, practice makes perfect. : )
