Expect epic levels, feats, spells, and depending on what races, classes and PrCs they choose to add, maybe those also, to be locked on release. Ultimately, expansion packs result in more being taken away more than they provide. They are nothing more than a cash cow for Atari. They certainly aren't releasing it for the benefit of the community.
You do know though that the game system that nwn and nwn2 are based off of are inherently unbalanced from a player against player aspect anyways.. it was never ment to be balanced for that. Now as far as being balanced for pve well that all depends on the DM's building and controlling/designing the world and adjustments should be made in the world to accomidate such changes as they are introduced as far as pve is concerned.. now you as well as I know that once you throw the ability to pvp into the mix keeping a nice balance between the two is rough, because you might make things that are nice and helpfull for the pve content that has a drastically negative impact on certain class's or build types that I used to see alot in alot of the old nwn servers...
A prime example, you introduce an item with crit immunity pretty much reduces the effectiveness of dex fighters and especially rogue type characters by quite a large margin, wereas things like enchantment/death magic/mind spell immunity take alot of usefull toys from the mage side of things (im sure you've seen servers turned into mainly tankmage and melee only type builds I know i've seen my fair share)..
Anyway from what I've seen so far here on this server thinks look pretty nifty definitly one of the better nwn 2 PW's out at the moment (I've seen a few promising ones give up due to lack of builder help (a daunting task to go at alone) ) Though I think im going to reroll my drow as a human type right now to learn the lay of the land better first
