Re: Oh where, oh where...
It is my opinion that many of the players are grown ups - IE jobs and families take their time. So is the case for me, I hate it but I almost never can stay online for longer then an hour or two at a time... wich give little time for long RP-sessions or DM-led larger happenings.
I am however open for it and hopefully one day I can see a whole story through. Also I think this a great advantage with this server. Mostly
mature players that let people play in their fashion. It is sad that your friends are offline more these days. But there are also some new players in the server, perhaps you could expand your circle..?

Howdy everyone!
Arilyn showed me this post, and I just couldn't help but reply...
I am sure that if I could get past the way the game played I (we) would totally enjoy this new land and the new people, along with the old, with as much love and joy as the original Dasaria. Sadly, we did try for a long while to get in the game without success. I also have to say for me personally, I didn't play the new game in Stand Alone mod so the features were also difficult. I remember once FINALLY making it in to Dasaria II and for the life of me, I couldn't speak. So, to those of you who came up to me... I could hear you talking... I just couldn't reply. Funny now, but I was so frustrated then.
So, sadly we shelved that game and moved on. But honestly... every game we've played, never ONCE did we not mention to each other how GRAND this game or that game would be if we had the Dasaria Family with us. I have never had so much fun in a game before or after. And the roleplaying.. WOW! Did you guys know that when I first met Arilyn in-game, we never talked OOC for months? I remember Casio telling me once, "I think Arilyn is a 'guy.'" It didn't matter though as I was there for that great roleplaying, which btw, hats off to Arilyn at being the BEST GIRLFRIEND I ever had....
Miss you all. Hope someday to RP with you again.....

Logan!
I'd probably give Dasaria another chance if I had time. But I haven't had a day off in 4 months, I work full time, attend classes at night, and teach chemistry labs.
Unfortunately now I need games where I can get in and out quickly and role playing just can take to long to develop some times so I would rather flip out and kill things as a ninja for 30 minutes while I have the time.

I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

Re: Oh where, oh where...
To get into Dasaria as a person with job/full time studies and other "distractions" all one need is good planning.
Even the busiest person can find an evening in a 14-day period. I agree that weekly basis can be tough though.
The tricky part is to find that evening together with a friend. But it can be done for most I think.
And this great forum can help your character "stay alive" with short messages from time to time when you can not play IG.
I too had great IRL RP when I was younger. Thats life. But the better to enjoy those few precious (Love that word
gggg g gollum) moments than not play at all. Dasaria 2 is too good to be ignored, come help make Dasaria become even more lively!
Stop dreaming about the past and make the best of what you got now.

Re: Oh where, oh where...
Hey guys. I used to have two copies of the game for me and the bro, but they're lost to the world now.
I've got a lot of time on my hands, so I'm going to pick up another. So watch out for EDIT: I don't think most of you know who I play, EHEHEH!
